HOW WOMEN RISE: BREAK THE 12 HABITS HOLDING YOU BACK FROM YOUR NEXT RAISE, PROMOTION, OR JOB

Women’s Leadership Keynote and Masterclass

Women’s distinctive strengths and behaviors provide them with many advantages. Yet the very habits that help them early in their careers can hold them back as they seek to rise to a higher level. Drawing on her work with #1 ranked executive coach Marshall Goldsmith for her acclaimed book How Women Rise, Sally has designed this keynote address and leadership masterclass to help women identify and address the 12 habits most likely to get in their way as they seek to move forward in their careers.

These habits include:

  • Reluctance to Claim Your Achievements
  • Expecting Others to Spontaneously Notice and Value Your Contributions
  • Building Rather than Leveraging Relationships
  • Putting Your Job Before Your Career
  • The Disease to Please
  • Minimizing
  • Too Much

Women are the focus of both the keynote and masterclass. However, male participants report that attending helps them to be more informed and effective colleagues, mentors, champions, and supporters for female colleagues.

How Women Rise Leadership Masterclass

The masterclass covers all 12 habits most likely to hold women back. Each segment provides a mix of content, Q&A, and interactive exercises. Ideally, it is delivered in a full-day format.

Exercises designed to help participants:

  • Identify how specific habits may hinder them as they move forward
  • Initiate simple behavioral tweaks that can smooth their path
  • Practice these tweaks in real time with peer support
  • Enlist allies who can hold them accountable for maximizing their leadership potential
  • Become a more powerful resource for other women seeking to rise

The content and exercises unfold in four highly interactive sections, following an introductory overview. The program concludes with a template for action that participants can use to make targeted positive behavioral changes as they move forward in their careers.
